Tokyo
Skyline views, neon nights, food, tech, and first-time Japan magic.

We begin in Tokyo, where modern Japan shows off from the very first moment. Expect Shibuya energy, skyline views, a welcome meet & greet vibe, iconic crossings, late-night city moments, specialty coffee, stylish neighborhoods, anime and gaming culture, and food alley experiences that feel straight out of a movie.

Kyoto
Tradition, shrines, matcha, sake, and timeless Japan.

Next, we shift into Kyoto for a slower, more cultural rhythm. This part of the journey brings shrine visits, matcha moments, riverside views, sake district exploring, market wandering, lantern-lit streets, and relaxed evenings with space to take in the beauty without rushing through it.

Osaka
Street food, neon lights, shopping, nightlife, and final-trip flavor.

We close the trip in Osaka, Japan’s bold, flavorful, let’s-eat-again city. Expect Dotonbori-style energy, street food, neon lights, hidden alley vibes, shopping pockets, optional nightlife, and a priority Nintendo Museum experience, depending on ticket availability.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A few more answers now… so your journey to Japan feels a whole lot easier later. Below are the 10 final FAQ cards, written as HEADER + DESCRIPTION so you can drop them directly into the landing page.

1. ARE WE FLYING INTO AND OUT OF TOKYO?

Not necessarily. Journey Through Japan begins in Tokyo and ends in Osaka, so for most travelers it may be easier to book a multi-city itinerary that flies into Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) and returns to the United States from Kansai International Airport (KIX).

You can still choose a round-trip flight through Tokyo if it works better for your schedule or budget. Just keep in mind that you would then be responsible for traveling from Osaka back to Tokyo, which could mean additional transportation costs, travel time, and possibly an extra hotel night depending on your flight schedule.

2. WHICH TOKYO AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) is highly recommended whenever possible. It is much closer to central Tokyo and offers a more convenient commute to NOHGA HOTEL AKIHABARA TOKYO.

Narita International Airport (NRT) is also an option and may offer better fares or flight schedules from some U.S. cities, but travelers should expect a longer trip from the airport into Tokyo.

Tay Travel King will provide additional airport and transportation guidance before departure.

3. WHAT DAY SHOULD I LEAVE THE U.S. TO ARRIVE IN JAPAN ON APRIL 23?

When searching for airfare, focus on the arrival date in Japan, not just the day your flight leaves the United States.

Your Tokyo hotel stay begins April 23, 2027, and because of flight times, time-zone changes, and crossing the International Date Line, many travelers may need to leave the U.S. on April 22. Depending on your departure city, connections, and flight schedule, you may even find an itinerary that begins with a red-eye or connecting flight on April 21.

The goal is simple: your flight should ARRIVE in Tokyo on April 23.

The earlier you can arrive on April 23, the better. A recommended arrival window will be provided later as flight schedules and the final itinerary are coordinated.

4. ARE FLIGHTS INCLUDED IN THE TRIP PRICE?

No. Airfare is not included in the current Journey Through Japan package price, and each traveler is ultimately responsible for purchasing airfare that works with the trip schedule.

That does not mean you are on your own. Tay Travel King will provide recommended airports, arrival and departure guidance, timing recommendations, travel tips, and general assistance to help travelers make informed flight choices.

5. ARE AIRPORT TRANSFERS INCLUDED?

Airport transportation is not included in the current package price.

However, Tay Travel King will provide transportation recommendations and help travelers determine which options make the most sense based on arrival airport, arrival time, luggage, budget, and comfort level.

We will also make an effort to coordinate arrival times as closely as reasonably possible so travelers arriving around the same time may be able to travel from the airport to the hotel together.

Flight schedules will vary, so group transportation from the airport cannot be guaranteed.

6. HOW WILL WE TRAVEL BETWEEN TOKYO, KYOTO, AND OSAKA?

We’ll travel between cities primarily aboard Japan’s famous Shinkansen bullet train.

Rail tickets are not included in the current package price and will be purchased separately. Because we will be traveling as a group with luggage, advance RSVP and payment will be required once our train schedule is finalized.

This will allow Tay Travel King to coordinate recommended trains and departure times, keep the group together as much as possible, and arrange appropriate seating for travelers who require luggage-storage accommodations.

Travelers should not independently purchase intercity train tickets unless instructed to do so. Pricing, deadlines, train information, and booking instructions will be provided in advance.

7. IS TRIPLE OCCUPANCY AVAILABLE?

No. Triple occupancy will not be offered for Journey Through Japan 2027.

Although each of our featured hotels has certain room categories that may accommodate three guests, those accommodations are not consistent across all three properties. Third-person bedding may involve specialty room categories, sofa beds, rollaway beds, or other arrangements that are not always guaranteed or available.

Because this trip includes three different hotels, limiting reservations to single and double occupancy helps prevent bedding issues, room-category mismatches, pricing complications, and unnecessary logistical problems throughout the journey.

Sometimes simpler really is better.

8. ARE THE FEATURED ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE PRICE?

Not currently. The featured experiences shown throughout the itinerary are planned parts of the Journey Through Japan experience, but activity costs are separate from the current hotel package price unless specifically stated otherwise.

As booking windows open, Tay Travel King will research and coordinate featured experiences and provide pricing, reservation deadlines, payment instructions, and other important information.

Some popular Japan attractions can fill quickly, so travelers should be prepared to reserve promptly once booking instructions are released.

9. DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN EVERY GROUP ACTIVITY?

No. This is a hosted group experience… not summer camp. 😂

Travelers will have the opportunity to participate in the featured group experiences, but some activities may be optional depending on personal interests, budgets, and availability.

Certain experiences may require advance reservations or payment deadlines. Those details will be clearly communicated ahead of time so you can decide what you want to participate in.

Personal free time is also built into the spirit of the trip so everyone can enjoy Japan their own way while still being part of the group experience.

10. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BOOK?

Once your reservation is confirmed, you are officially part of Journey Through Japan 2027, and Tay Travel King will continue guiding you throughout the planning process.

As we get closer to departure, you’ll receive important trip updates, recommended flight and airport guidance, Shinkansen rail information, activity booking details, reservation deadlines, travel-preparation tips, and other information needed to help you prepare for Japan with confidence.

You’ll also be added to the official Journey Through Japan 2027 WhatsApp group chat, which will serve as our main communication hub for trip updates, reminders, questions, group coordination, important announcements, and real-time communication before and during the trip.

While each traveler is responsible for completing their individual travel purchases and meeting required deadlines, you will not be planning or navigating this journey alone.
